A very nice way for sharpening images, especially if you think the edges around your subject are a bit fuzzy is using an high pass filter. Unfortunately Pixelmator doesn't have an high pass filter build in. But I came across the blog of photographer Adam Merrifield where he explains how to create such a filter manually in Pixelmator. Lets open his tutorial in question and see how easy it is to make such a filter. All credits for this podcast episode go to mr. Merrifield for explaining this procedure in a very good and clear way.
